Our products can only be purchased by people over the age of 18, Due to current UK legislation. We are required to verify the age of any new customers.
Why do you need to verify my age?
We get it, age verification can be a bit of a hassle. But hey, it's all about keeping things safe and sound!
See, there are laws in place to make sure that everyone stays protected, especially those who aren't yet of legal age. So, we're just doing our part to follow those rules and keep things legit.
The Law
On 1 October 2015, the law changed to make it illegal for anyone under 18 to buy tobacco products or e-cigarettes.
Our age verification process here at I Love Vapour. We use 1account, a trusted third-party system that's recognised in the industry.
Rest assured, 1account runs checks on various reliable data sources to confirm that you're 18 or over. These checks may include your credit record, mobile phone number, the UK electoral roll, and/or the UK birth register. Please be assured that this is a "soft check" and has no effect whatsoever on your credit score.
But don't worry! The system aims to carry out as few checks as possible. In fact, in the majority of cases, your age can be verified instantly. Once that's done, we'll ship your I Love Vapour order like normal.
What do I need to do?
After your order has been placed, you will see a pop-up window at the order confirmation page, which looks like the picture below.
Please follow the instructions seen here and make sure your name matches your I.D.
What information do you need?
To get started, please provide us with your full name, current address, and mobile phone number. The billing address you provide during the purchase will be used as your current home address. So, please double-check that the billing address on your account is accurate.
Rest assured, our system carries out minimal checks to verify your age. In most cases, it's done instantly! Once verified, we'll ship your I Love Vapour order without any delays.
Manual Verification
If, for any reason, you're unable to verify your age through 1account, no worries! Just shoot us an email at customerservices@ilovevapour.com with a photo of your passport or driver's license, along with your order number. We'll manually verify your age against your customer account and get your order processed in a jiffy.
Rest assured, we take your privacy and data security seriously. At I Love Vapour, we only use personally identifiable information for the sole purpose of age verification and to comply with UK laws. We do not store copies of ID sent to us.
If we cannot verify your age, we will cancel your order and refund it in full.
